Premix Line for Biogas Plant in Western Jutland
Nordic SRO delivered the automation and electrical scope for the installation of a new Premix line at a biogas plant in Western Jutland,
Denmark. The project was carried out as an extension of the existing plant with a strong focus on seamless integration into the existing process and minimal impact on daily operation.
The Premix system was supplied by Vogelsang and consists of a Premix unit with a variable-speed pump and an integrated Rotacut. The system has a processing capacity of approximately 6.5 tonnes of deep litter per hour and operates fully automatically alongside the plant's two existing Premix lines.
Nordic SRO was responsible for the complete electrical and automation scope, including electrical tendering, electrical panel documentation, ongoing site supervision, PLC programming, SCADA configuration, and integration into the existing control system. The control system is based on a Siemens S7-300 PLC and IGSS SCADA, while the variable frequency drives are integrated via Profibus. Communication with the Vogelsang equipment is established via Profinet, ensuring reliable and efficient data exchange between the systems.
Nordic SRO also participated in testing, commissioning, and optimization of the plant. The project was completed in close cooperation with Vogelsang, and the new Premix line is now fully integrated into the existing process, contributing to increased processing capacity.
