Nordic SRO has delivered a complete automation solution for Dall Energy's biomass energy project in Caen, France.
The project includes two 12.5 MW biomass boilers designed for fuels such as green waste, wood chips and bark. The overall technology scope covers biomass gasification furnaces, boilers, quench, scrubber, absorption heat pump, chimney system, fuel handling and water treatment.
Our delivery included complete PLC programming on Siemens S7-1500 using TIA Portal V20, including the safety program, as well as a complete SCADA delivery based on Schneider IGSS V18, including hardware.
As part of the project, Nordic SRO also delivered standard TIA function blocks and IGSS templates, establishing a strong baseline for future projects. This supports Dall Energy's ambition to move PLC programming and SCADA design further in-house and create a more standardized automation platform across future deliveries.
In addition, Nordic SRO was responsible for OT network configuration and commissioning, including VLAN setup, remote access and considerations related to NIS2 compliance.
During cold testing and commissioning support on-site in France, our team worked closely with the commissioning team and contributed with a structured, flexible and well-documented approach. Fast response times and close technical support were key elements in ensuring progress during the commissioning phase.
The Caen project is an important reference for Nordic SRO and demonstrates our ability to deliver complete automation, SCADA and OT network solutions for advanced biomass energy plants and renewable energy projects.
